Net Zero Policy

Net Zero by 2030 Commitment

JK Electrical & Mechanical Services

JK Electrical & Mechanical Services is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2030 for emissions under our direct control, in line with the UK’s climate objectives and industry best practice.

We recognise the role the construction and building services sector plays in addressing climate change and are committed to reducing our environmental impact while supporting our clients’ sustainability goals.

Our Approach

Our Net Zero commitment focuses on the measurement, reduction, and responsible management of carbon emissions across our operations. This includes:

Measuring and monitoring our carbon footprint to establish a clear baseline

Reducing emissions at source through operational efficiencies, responsible procurement, and improved working practices

Improving energy efficiency across offices, sites, and temporary installations

Supporting low-carbon solutions in the delivery of electrical and mechanical services

Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to promote sustainable and responsible practices

Emissions Reduction

Where emissions cannot be eliminated in the short term, JK Electrical & Mechanical Services will seek to minimise their impact and review credible offsetting options as part of a wider carbon reduction strategy. Offsetting will not be used as a substitute for genuine emissions reduction.

Governance and Continuous Improvement

Responsibility for delivering this commitment sits with senior management, who are accountable for monitoring progress and embedding sustainability considerations into business decision-making.

Our Net Zero strategy will be reviewed regularly and updated to reflect changes in legislation, technology, and industry best practice.

Looking Forward

JK Electrical & Mechanical Services is committed to working collaboratively with clients, supply chain partners, and stakeholders to support the transition to a low carbon built environment and to contribute positively to the UK’s Net Zero ambitions.
